Sulfur

Learn more about this ingredient:

+ What does sulfur do to your skin?
When used in skin care, Sulfur draws out excess oil and helps target the bacteria that can cause breakouts. Pores are unclogged while drying out the skin’s surface for that super-clean, decongested feeling.

+ Why does sulfur smell bad?
There’s no denying that Sulfur stinks; it’s just the nature of certain compounds. The results outweigh the smell, though: we (and so many other brands) wouldn’t formulate with it otherwise, for so many decades!

+ Is sulfur good for sensitive skin?
Sulfur can benefit sensitive skin types, but it can be incredibly drying on skin. Use a hydrating product immediately after application (for example: after applying the Drying Mask follow with Healing & Soothing Mask) to make sure your skin’s moisture levels are back in balance.

+ Is sulfur effective for acne?
Yes! Sulfur-based products can be effective at targeting the oil and bacteria that often lead to breakouts.

+ Can you mix sulfur and salicylic acid?
Sulfur and Salicylic Acid are often used together—sometimes appearing in the same formulation—to combat blemishes at the root.
