Aging
Aging skin is characterized by poor elasticity and the accentuation of lines
and wrinkles due to reduced oil gland activity. There are primarily two
categories of aging skin: intrinsic and extrinsic. The former refers to
chronological aging, for which little can be done. Extrinsic aging,
however, refers to aging due to external factors such as sun, stress, and
certain lifestyle choices.
Reversing the Aging Process
Though reversing the aging process is not possible, preventing and protecting
skin from the early appearance of fine lines and wrinkles can be achieved
through proper skin care. One can also reduce the appearance of existing
lines through hydration and refining.

Photoaging Skin
UV exposure damages and destroys cellular reproductive abilities as well as
deteriorates the skin’s natural collagen reserves. Naturally, sun protection
is the first line of treatment for extrinsically aged skin in order to prevent further damage.
|
|
To help improve the appearance and condition of extrinsically aging skin, products
containing Vitamin A and its derivatives, and alpha-hydroxy acids can help
restore moisture, normalize skin functions, and help regenerate collagen.
Ceramide Complex with NMF & AHA contains a creamy mixture of nourishing moisturizing
agents such as Seamollient, Pentavitin, and Carnation Oil as well as gentle
A.H.A.s from Lemongrass Extract, and Vitamin A from Peanut oil.

The Glycolic Skin Renewal Complex is also a way to maintain younger looking skin.
Specially formulated with a combination of both A.H.A.s and glycolic acid, this
lightweight cream helps to refine lines and wrinkles and even out discoloration
from sun damage, all in a powerful nighttime treatment.
|
|
|
Whenever using any creams with alpha-hydroxy acids or glycolic, be sure to protect
skin from discoloration during the day by using a moisturizer with a sun
protection factor of at least 30.

What is Collagen
Collagen is a fundamental protein in the composition of the skin. It plays a
primary role in elasticity and hydration. As we get older, the collagen structure
weakens and the skin loses its firmness and becomes less able to retain moisture.
The breakdown of collagen contributes to wrinkling and creates the appearance of
sagging skin.
Topical application of products containing collagen will make fine lines and
wrinkles appear more smooth and plump. Also, due to its moisture-binding
properties, collagen products provide light, natural hydration to the skin.
|
|
Our Collagen Moisturizer (SPF 15) is a convenient way to replenish collagen and
protect skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. The lightweight formulation is
perfect for combination skin, acting as a daily aging-preventative moisturizer.

For more firming sensation, the
Cellufirm Drops is a serum with high concentrations
of collagen, Seamollient, Hyaluronic Acid and Elastin. This vitamin-enriched
formulation has ingredients to enhance moisture retention, improve elasticity
and plump fine lines. Applying 4-5 drops on the face addresses the issues of
hydration and elasticity, the two major causes of signs of early aging.
