My skin’s been in a bit of a funk lately.
‘Hot mess’ actually seems more fitting, but why label something that’s already been fixed? Positive thoughts only around here; plus, when you’re in an office surrounded by a multitude of solutions for every skin concern there is, all a girl’s gotta do is fiddle around with a few products or so. Ah, the beauty of being surrounded by estheticians: you not only learn every trick of the trade, but also have walking skin-cylopedias to consult when needed.
But I digress...
My skin’s manic state has largely been of my own doing. Little sleep and negligence are a terrible combination, and why I even let myself fall back into such bad habits is beyond me. Odd breakouts here and there happened and my skin was the furthest thing from pretty.
I initially gave my skin a week to resolve itself – usually the best remedy for problem skin is to be kind to it. Unfortunately for me, these spots had decided to overstay their welcome. The situation called for a purifying deep clean.
Enter the Cucumber Tonic Mask, the older brother to the other masks in the tonic line. It’s the strongest and most effective clarifying mask for congested, oily skin. Formulated with Kaolin Clay and cooling Cucumber, the Cucumber Tonic Mask is meant to help absorb pore-clogging dirt and oil to reveal a smoother, more refined complexion – and it did exactly that.
Even the initial application felt good: it was cooling and refreshing upon contact. After cleansing and toning and applying the mask, my skin was noticeably smoother and considerably brighter twenty minutes later. Fast forward a few days later and the spots started clearing up.
Skin-mergency over! Talk about Holy Grail skin care!
